Attributed 1865. Photo A is a detail view of larger photo. Team identification and photo date from Steven Wong, Smithsonian Baseball (2005). Players wore a white or light-colored shirt and dark pants in this photo. The button placket down the shirt had dark trim. At least one uniform shirt has the initials “H. R.” embroidered on it. The cap was white with a dark star on top. Original photo attributed to the collection of Corey R Shanus.

Team genealogy: Hudson River 1859-1868
Hudson River (or Hudson Rivers) was formed in Newburgh, NY, in 1859, and was named after the river on which the village is situated. The Hudson River team disbanded in 1868. Info from Peter Morris and others, Base Ball Pioneers, 1850-1870 (2012).
