October 27, 1866, Pastime, Richmond, v. National, Washington DC, at Richmond, Fair Grounds: “The Pastimes were dressed in blue caps, gray pants with black belts, and white shirts.” From the Richmond Dispatch, October 29, 1866. Note that the color of the belt was described as black in the report, and as red in a newspaper report from November, see below.
