March 1884: “The Baltimore Unions’ uniform will either be old gold pants, shirts and caps, with scarlet stockings and belt, or gray pants and shirts, with navy blue caps, stockings and belts.” From the Cincinnati Enquirer, March 2, 1884.

Portsmouth, VA, at Portsmouth, exhibition game: “The Baltimore Union base ball club played Portsmouth today and were caught [illegally] using two balls, a dead and a live ball.
