Dated 1886. Photo date confirmed as this was the only year Newburyport played in the New England League. Players wore a tight-fitting mid-toned shirt in this photo and white or light-colored pants.

Written documentation on this uniform:
April 1886: “The Newburyport men have been ordered to report to duty in that city, April 12, and an exhibition game will be played on the 16th. The uniform will be decidedly fancy. It will consist of a light gray sack coat, with collar and cuffs of crimson, a crimson jersey with the letter ‘N’ in white, gray trousers with crimson stripe, crimson caps, stockings and belt, the former with gray stripes.
