CRAIG BROWN
Creative Manager, Designer & Brand Steward.
Hello. I am a freelance creative thinker, designer and branding guru with a passion for understanding the audience and identifying their unique motivators. I use my decades of communication & design experience, in tandem with AI, to simplify your communication efforts, connect with your customer, and allow your brand to soar.
I have experience with both trade and consumer communications, especially in the home accents industry — and in-store promotional marketing comes second nature to me. I work in WordPress, Shopify and Adobe Creative Suite.
Freelance and part-time projects only.
If you think I can help you on your next project, please text me at 678-591-8999. Thank you.
Here’s a sample of my work.
Branding.

I can create a comprehensive brand experience for you, designed to engage and inspire your target. From name generation and graphic identity to market positioning and tiered messaging, I can help your brand build a relationship with your customer. After all, that’s what brand is — a two-way trust between you and your customer.
Messaging.

I can craft the words that will resonate with your audience. The above example is a welcome message I wrote in the voice of a company founder. It is personable in tone and also positions the company.
Digital & print catalogs.

I have 15+ years experience designing and producing product catalogs, for both digital and print. Be it page layout, product writing, photo direction or image production, I can make your next catalog shine. I handle every step of the process from initial organization to delivering final files for production. I believe every catalog should tell a story — about you, the products you offer, and the value your brand brings to your customers.
Book design & marketing.

I was thrilled to help Atlanta author Paula Grizzell DeMarini with her childhood memoir, Five Thimbles. I designed the front and back covers of the book, the text pages inside, and gave the book its hook. I also helped by ghost-writing several passages and supplying all of the marketing materials Paula needed to sell online.
The following is a selling blurb I wrote for Five Thimbles:
One mother, five kids, twenty-five houses. Paula DeMarini’s fascinating childhood memoir, FIVE THIMBLES, is one of survival in east Tennessee between 1952 and 1970. It is a first-hand, true account of five siblings living with none of the things most other kids had: a bike, a real bed, or a place to call home. Facing one eviction after another, Paula and her family lived at twenty-five locations in her first eighteen years. We learn how Paula’s mother, despite an absentee husband, nurtures one child through serious illness and secures Paula’s own well-being after she was abducted as a young teenager. Incredibly, FIVE THIMBLESÂ shows us how happiness can grow even without putting down roots.
Graphics.

Need a mark? A glyph? A logo? I can create the graphic identity with the tone and feel you’re looking for.
Image work.

AI can’t do this (yet), it takes a human brain — and a discerning eye. If you need an image retouched, color corrected, or manipulated, ask me about it. No challenge is too great.
